Are you looking for a job?  Do you want to be paid while you look for work?  Employment North is offering paid workshops over the Christmas Holidays.  Students who are looking for part-time work after school and on the weekends will be paid for 20 hours of pre-employment workshops.  If you want to make some money over the Christmas break, see Mrs. Schandlen in the guidance office to sign up!

Last week’s improv session featured, a dog who ate nuclear salmon and gained the ability to talk, a family of people with no toes, a series of skyscraper stunts, and a school infested first by lice, then by cannibals. Today is your last chance to get your improv on before the break, so get yourself on the nice list and come on out!

From the Sports Desk:

The Midget girls’ volleyball team traveled to Almaguin yesterday to play in their 4th match of the season.  The girls started out in excellent form winning the first two sets.  Almaguin came out strong in the 3rd and 4th sets winning both of these.

The Gryphon girls were down 11-8 in the 5th and deciding set.  We called a timeout and re-grouped and ended up winning in a close match by a score of 16-14.

Please congratulate the Midget girls’ team on their 4th straight victory!!

Intramurals starts today in the Gym at 11:45.  All teams must show up.
