Trillium Lakelands District School Board acknowledges that these lands and waters are the traditional homeland of the Ojibway (Oh-jib-way) Nations and the Huron (Hur-on)/Wendat (When-dat) Nation, and now includes communities from the Mohawk Nation, the Pottawatomi (Pot-a-watt-a-me) Nation and the Metis (May-tee) Nation of Ontario.
Under the One Dish With One Spoon Treaty, the Haudenosaunee (Hoden-oh-show-nee) Confederacy and the Anishinaabe (An-ish-i-na-bay) Peoples agreed to share and care for this territory for the benefit of future generations. We acknowledge their stewardship throughout the ages.

From the Sports Desk:
A Big Shout Out to our Improv Team “Ohio Fried String Worms” who gave an amazing performance North Central Ontario Regionals yesterday hosted right here at GHS. Their events, about trying to out-alpha a wolfman, about desperately rebuilding the family cottage, about hiding your boyfriend from your parents, were really phenomenal up there on stage. Mr. Sacrey wants you to know that he couldn’t be more proud, that your voices are strong and smart, that you’re funny as heck, and that you are geniuses, poets, and artists.
A reminder to the members of the boys’ basketball team of their combined practice today after school. Please see Ms. Humphries or Mr. Gilbert if you are unable to attend. Come out to the gym tomorrow to cheer on both teams as they compete for the Georgian Bay Championship right here at GHS. Juniors tip off at 2:30 and seniors at 4:00 pm.
