“Trillium Lakelands District School Board acknowledges that these lands and waters are the traditional homeland of the Ojibway (Oh-jib-way) Nations and the Huron (Hur-on)/Wendat (When-dat) Nation, and now includes communities from the Mohawk Nation, the Pottawatomi (Pot-a-watt-a-me) Nation and the Metis (May-tee) Nation of Ontario.
Under the One Dish With One Spoon Treaty, the Haudenosaunee (Hoden-oh-show-nee) Confederacy and the Anishinaabe (An-ish-i-na-bay) Peoples agreed to share and care for this territory for the benefit of future generations. We acknowledge their stewardship throughout the ages.”
Congratulations to Gillian Noonan our final Student of the Month! Gillian Noonan has been selected as Student of the Month for being an integral member of this years’ Student Council. She was our Minister of Finance and was responsible for the Magazine and Cookie Campaign, Semi Formal, and Prom Finances and this involves large sums of money. She keeps Council up to date with our budget and spending. Recently, she spent two weeks of her own time selling Prom Tickets and depositing all of the money into our Account. Gillian can count and be counted on for everything! She is trustworthy, reliable, and an amazing team member! Congratulations Gillian!
