Are you interested in working in carpentry, construction or another trade? Employment North is hosting a virtual job fair this Wednesday. This could be a great way to secure a summer job OR long-term employment after graduation. Please speak to Ms. Humphries if you are interested.

Attention graduates – the scholarship and bursaries page continues to be updated regularly. Now is the time to start applying to help fund your post-secondary education. Please speak to Ms. Humphries if you have any questions or need support.

There will be an interesting meeting in the music room today at lunch for the upcoming GHS Rock Band reboot. If you sing, play guitar/bass/drums/keyboard or any other instrument you think might rock, please join us right at the beginning of the lunch hour.

On Friday a six member team of hardcore GHS chess players faced off against BMLSS and FFSS. Fueled by Potato bacon soup, salad and pizza, the competitors faced off digitally with their opponents. Adam Despins philosophy of Chaos paid off, when he didn’t place last overall. This time around, Aiden Courville held on, through technical difficulties to take the championship. Congratulations Aiden on being GHS newest chess champion – Oliver you will have to try to reclaim your belt in April’s tournament.

All SHSM students who signed up for the First Aid/CPR training, you should be in the cafeteria after these announcements.

From the Sports Desk:

Attention boys’ basketball players – due to the snow day, BOTH teams will practice today at 4:45 pm. Also, a reminder that our MPS championship is tomorrow. The bus leaves the front of GHS at 8:30 am.
