Ms. Kent will be visiting classes the week of February 9th to explain the course selection process and answer any questions.

Please use the Course request sheet to review all courses that are offered for the 2026/2027 school year, and make your selections based on required OSSD requirements, compulsory courses, SHSM requirements and admission requirements for post secondary programs and personal interests.
Please read the full course descriptions in the course calendar document to ensure you meet the required prerequisites. You can quickly search the document by using the find feature by pressing the “ctrl” and “f” at the same time, and searching a course code or subject title.
Make course selections in PowerSchool
Students will see the new screen below when accessing PowerSchool. Please click on the Student Sign In button near the bottom, and if requested, proceed by entering your single sign-on username and password, the same as you would when logging into your TDLSB chromebook.
Selecting a Course
To select courses, click on the pencil icon to open the choice boxes. The red ! indicates a compulsory course, the green check indicates optional course. Some options have multiple pages, be sure to scroll through to see all options.
Students are permitted to take courses from other grades, as long as they have the required prerequisite. Courses from other grades will be listed in separate dialogue boxes.
You must make and save your selections within 15 minutes, or the window will timeout and you will have to start over
In addition to the 8 total credits of compulsory and optionals, please ensure you choose 1 optional alternate, from the alternate window.
4. If you are a grade 11 or 12 student in a SHSM program, please review the course and certification tracking sheets to ensure you have taken the required courses, including 2 co-op credits.

Online learning Option
If selected, e-learning courses will be available through the VLC.
If a student does not wish to take an e-learning course, they will complete an opt out form in their graduating year.
