TLDSB Grade 10 and 11 students who have a summer job can earn a cooperative education (co-op) credit at the same time through the Summer Cooperative Education Program!
Course format
- Pre-placement: You are required to complete 10 pre-placement hours virtually via Google Meet, where you will complete required paperwork and learn about employment practices and standards.
- Work experience: You must log 100 hours between July 2 and 25 for one credit and/or 200 hours between July 2 and August 22 for two credits.
You can track your hours through log sheets, or by submitting pay stubs to your teacher. - Culminating: You will complete a culminating assignment to complete your credit(s). There are several options to choose from to suit your learning style.
Registration
The deadline to register is Friday, June 6th, so registration packages must be submitted to Ms. Kent before this date.
